Gable Siding

This is what the gables will look like. The body color will be about the color of the lowest siding.

Chukar Hunt 2

Mark and Justin took advantage of 70 degree weather and went chukar hunting on Wednesday near Getchell mine.

Here chukar chukar chukar, I won't hurt you.

This is the ridge that Justin hiked up to after hearing some clucking from down below. Shortly after taking this photo, about 20 birds took flight right in front of him. Justin spent the next hour chasing them like Wile Coyote chasing the roadrunner. Despite shooting several times, he never hit anything.

He'll be coming down the mountain when he comes. Mark coming down a steep hill. Chukar hunting was tough this year because the population is low due to drought conditions.

Trees make good pictures when you live in the desert. =)

The roofing is roofed and the windows are in. It will have lap siding on the gables over the lap siding.

The color of the primer on the siding is close to the color that the body will be painted. (light brown/tan)

Lance's 7th Birthday

Lance had a great Birthday party, He got lots of fun stuff.

Brenda made this for Lance. She made one for Nate and Lance saw pictures and just had to have one just like his own.

Chukar Hunt

Mark and Justin went chukar hunting northeast of pyramid lake on saturday. The first canyon they went to was full of dozens of hunters so they went further north.
Justin becomes easily distracted from hunting when there are lizards around. He has loved them since he was little.

These two were out enjoying the sunshine.

Grandpa Coates couldn't come this year because of his knee injury. Hiking is a necessity if you want to get close to those flighty little turkeys!

Justin downed 3 birds but could only find one. Where is Kopi when you need him? (Kopi is Paul's hunting dog)

This is just a cool rock that was split in half somehow and slid apart.

Kandice's 22nd Birthday

We had a party at Nate's house. Allie's sister Kim and family were there. It was a lot of fun.

Other presents included 2 Rachel Ray cookbooks from Lynette, some cherished teddies from Brenda and Justin, some Pampered Chef cooking supplies from Mark and Colleen, a calender from Brad, and a CD from the Murrays. Thanks y'all!

Roofing

We chose an Elk "weatheredwood" 40 year shingle to go on the roof. The skylight is centered over the island in the kitchen.

Grandpa helped out up on the roof last week. Unfortunately he injured his right knee last Friday while walking off a curb at a restaraunt. It could mean surgery again.

Uncle Russ' Birthday
