Michael's Wedding

This is the Fullmer family. Michael is about as tall as the people in the 3rd row. =)
Congratulations Michael and Lindsay!
Michael and Lindsay having a "white" Christmas in more than one way. There was about 5 inches of snow in Salt Lake.

Kandice bundled up in front of the Salt Lake Temple. Temps were in the teens with a strong north wind. Brrr.

Kandice and Kaylee looking very kute.

Becky and Adel looking happy for their newly wedded brothers/sons.

Marty and Dian (Justin's cousin and aunt) teaming up to tickle Kevin.

Mark's Wedding

Mark and Teandra were married in the Mt. Timpanogos temple on Friday the 21st, a day before his brother Michael. Kandice and Justin drove to Utah and joined in the barage of wedding activities. We went to 2 sealing ceremonies, 2 receptions and a luncheon in 2 days.
They are a great couple! She is a nuclear engineering major and he is an aeronautical engineering major.

First Snow

We woke up this morning to about an inch and a half of wet snow.
Let it snow!
Let it snow!
Let it snow!

Quilt is done!

With some help from Colleen Kandice finished sewing together the strips of her quilt. She decided to give the masterpiece to her mom for her birthday.

Each red square has a different pattern and all borders have a black outline. This was taken right before Kandice crocheted and sewed the rows together.

House Update

Mark and Justin are working on wiring in all of the electrical circuits in the house. This is one of the exterior light fixtures.

Thompson Garage Doors came and installed the overhead doors for the garage. The windows will eventually have a design in them that resembles a rising sun.

Thanksgiving

We are excited for Christmas because we will get to see lots of family. This is our mini-Christmas tree.

We celebrated Thanksgiving with the Turley family. Our dinner feast included turkey, salad, mashed potatoes, yams, rolls, pumpkin pie, and too many other yummy foods to mention. This is a picture of Ryan who belongs to Justin and Christie. He entertained us after dinner. We also had a pre-Thanksgiving dinner at Grandpa and Grandma Coates house with Dian, Randy and the boys who were traveling through to Seattle. We had Rocklette, a Swiss dish where you pour melted cheese on ham, vegetables, potatoes, etc.

Elder's Quorum Turkey Shoot

Thanks to some brothers in the quorum who work for granite construction we were able to hold our clay pigeon shoot at the Granite construction pit east of Sparks.
The weather was good and so was the turnout!
This is Nate helping younger Nate to shoot a pistol at Spongebob.

Poor Spongebob.

Spongebob didn't make it.

The winners of our double elimination tournament won turkeys. First place took home a 2o pounder.

Unfortunately Justin and Nate didn't perform well in the shoot and ended up near the bottom of the rankings. No wonder Justin didn't get very many chukar this year. =)

Ballet

Kandice and Brenda went to see "Copellia", a ballet put on by the BYU performing arts at the Pioneer Center. They went to dinner and had a nice evening together.

Pretty flowers. =)

Paint Job

Justin goofing off with the mirror closet door.
Hey Justin, get some new jeans!

The doors were delivered and soon the house will be enclosed.

After some trim around the windows, countless tubes of caulk, some masking tape and 30 gallons of paint the house is looking pretty good.

If I were a quail (and quail love to perch in grandpas tree!) this would be my view of the house.

Weather was perfect for painting. 70 degrees and no wind! Now that we are done, we hope we get some rain. We had a regional fast last Sunday for drought relief. We are praying for a good winter.

Gable Siding

This is what the gables will look like. The body color will be about the color of the lowest siding.
Should the rounded siding be darker or lighter than the body color? Feel free to e-mail us with comments. Mark and Justin are open to suggestions.
